$20m to build 1st sports theme park in downtown Ningbo

The first sports theme park in the central district of Ningbo will settle in Yanjiang New Town. An agreement on the construction of the Decathlon Theme Park has been signed between French Decathlon Group and the government of Jiangbei District.
 
The Decathlon Theme Park will cover an area of 6 hectares with a total investment of 20 million US dollars. The whole project consists of a sporting goods shopping mall, a stadium that is free and open to the public, an athletic track and other leisure facilities.
 
Phase I project of the park, which will take one and a half years and cover an area of 2 hectares, is to construct the sporting goods shopping mall. When completed, the Decathlon Theme Park will become another important sports venue in Ningbo apart from the one in the high-tech zone.
