| Xitang, one of the famous water towns of Jiangnan, lies in Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province, and has a history of over 1000 years. It is said to have its 'roots in Wu and its fruits in Yue' as it straddles the border between the ancient Wu and Yue kingdoms. Xitang’s most distinctive feature is a kilometer-long covered walkway, recalling those in Beijing's Summer Palace. |
